In the pages of the glossy magazine, the 34-year-old was photographed spending quality time with her two daughters Haven, four, and Honor, seven, inside their splendidly decorated abode.
But family life aside, The Honest Company co-founder confessed that being a businesswoman has its ups and downs.
Some days I am resilient and tough, and on others, I struggle and can be fragile,' she told the magazine.
The actress remembered the less-than-encouraging reaction she received when she first started the company.

In 2008 the actress was a new mother and remembered how she went ahead with her business pursuits 'despite many people telling me I was crazy.'
The company was recently valued at $1.7 billion and she owns between 15% and 20% of the company, according to Forbes, who last year named her America's Richest Self Made Businesswoman.
But even with her flourishing business, the actress will always put family first.
'My kids are my top priority,' she said. 'Their health and well-being come first.'
The actress and her husband Cash Warren welcomed Honor in 2008 and Haven in 2011.
It was Jessica's childhood that inspired her to pursue a healthier lifestyle, as she remembered: 'I was a very sick kid. Once I became aware of cause and effect, I became much more health-conscious.'
Jessica also said she looks up to previous generations of women in her family.
'My grandmother raised her kids and her grandchildren and put herself through school,' she said. 'She and my mother are my heroes.
They showed me the value in hard work, resourcefulness, and common sense. I just want to make that path for women easier however I can.'
Now a successful actress and businesswoman, the star has developed her own everyday routine.
'My day starts early with yoga or spinning, and, unless I have a pressing work engagement, ends with bedtime stories with the girls and a little TV time with my husband.'
Inside the pages, Jessica looked in her element as she played with her daughters while wearing a colourful blue and pink dress.
She also jotted on her notebook while curled up on a couch beside her dogs Sid and Bowie.
In another image, the actress showed off the latest development of The Honest Company - Honest Beauty.
Thinking back to the very early start of the company, Jessica recently told Vanity Fair: 'I wanted safe and effective consumer products that were beautifully designed, accessibly priced, and easy to get.'
But back in September, Jessica's company was sued by Jonathan Rubin for $5 million, who alleged her company 'deceptively and misleadingly' marketed its products as 'natural' when a number of items included 'unnatural' and 'synthetic" ingredients.
Rubin named the brand's dish soap, hand soaps, diapers and multi-surface cleaner as being potentially hazardous and claims its sunscreen is ineffective.
The A-list actress's billion dollar company fired back at Rubin's class action lawsuit, asking that the entire lawsuit be thrown out and points out that the man didn't even buy some of the products he is complaining about not being natural, specifically the brand's diapers and their multi-surface cleaner.
Alba's company says that Rubin failed to show any misleading or false statements that were made by The Honest Company and also any proof that he purchased the items based on these alleged statements.
The case between Rubin and The Honest Company was set to be heard in court in San Francisco on January 19, 2016.
Next up for Jessica, the actress can be seen in Mechanic: Ressurrection, which is now in post-production and scheduled for release in 2016.
